The Journey

Onaje, a Brooklyn, NY native, discovered his love for music at a young age. As a child, he began attending The Brooklyn Tabernacle, where his involvement in the youth ministry sparked a deep passion for worship and the presence of the Lord. Soon after, he became an integral part of The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir, serving as a soloist and worship leader while also contributing to the choir’s songwriting alongside Carol Cymbala.

Onaje’s musical journey spans over a decade as a singer and songwriter with the award-winning gospel group Israel & New Breed. He has also lent his voice as a recording vocalist with Multitracks and served as both a vocalist and vocal director for Matt Redman.

As the founder of Heart Worship Collective, Onaje, along with his wife Veronica, is dedicated to bringing together creatives from all backgrounds to intentionally pursue a life of worship rooted in Christ.

He currently resides in Phoenix, Arizona, with Veronica and their two children, Mayah and Avery. Their hearts remain focused on sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the world.
